Archives
The Hallé Archive is made up of distinct collections. The major part of the collection is the administrative records of the Hallé Concerts Society. There are also the programme collections, both bound and loose, which are the major source for the history of the Orchestra's repertoire. Amongst the private collections, the most recently added is the Richter-Loeb archive, much of which relates to the career of Hans Richter who conducted the Hallé 1899-1911.
The archive is open to anyone wishing to consult the collections for research purposes by appointment. Visitors are accommodated during office hours Monday to Friday. Please contact the archivist directly to arrange a time or find out more - archive@halle.co.uk
