With music to warm the mind and soul on a cold and dark winter evening, Jamie Phillips leads the Hallé in a programme crammed with music that evokes sun-soaked Spain. Come and be whisked away with Ravel’s dramatic and enticing Boléro, Bizet’s captivating love story and Rodrigo’s famous Guitar Concerto. Xuefei Yang, acclaimed as one of the world’s finest classical guitarists, takes centre stage for the Spanish composer’s best-known work.
