Cultural Champions Tour

We were delighted to welcome a group of Manchester’s Cultural Champions who learnt about the Hallé’s work whilst observing a Hallé rehearsal on 30 November. Cultural Champions are volunteers found through the Valuing Older People partnership, an initiative to improve life for older people in Manchester involving a number of different services, organisations, agencies and residents. The volunteers experience various cultural activities within the Manchester borough and report back to friends and family on their experiences. The aim is to encourage greater activity and social inclusion of Manchester’s older residents.

The Cultural Champions Tour in November was in partnership with The Bridgewater Hall, Valuing Older People and Manchester City Council.

The Hallé offers a range of regular, local and free ensemble experiences for young people aged 8 –19 years. It also offers adults (aged 18+) the chance to sing in one of the best symphony choruses in the UK.
