This section of the website lets you delve into the long history of the Hallé and discover things you didn't know! Use the links on the left to navigate around the site.

The Hallé is resident in Manchester’s magnificent new £42 million premier concert venue The Bridgewater Hall.

Our Discovery section will continually evolve. You can already read biographies of some of the artists and ensembles involved in the Hallé, and notes about the Hallé and its history. Check out the ever growing number of 'Player Profiles' and discover who plays in the Orchestra. Watch out for the new 'Section Profiles' which are coming soon.

You can now download the Hallé's first podcast. Edward Seckerson talks to the Hallé's Music Director Sir Mark Elder and Professor John Deathridge about the origins of Wagner's Ring and its thrilling culmination, 'The Twilight of the Gods'.

In this section you can also find out about the Hallé's new line of merchandise and the recently launched CD label, from what CDs are available now to what's coming next and even buying online.

What would you like to know about the Hallé? If you can't find what you are looking for here, please email any questions about our history or performances to info@halle.co.uk
