Sunday 17 February 2008, 3pm Bugs!!
Fancy dress suggestion: Why not come dressed as a creepy crawly or beautiful butterfly?
The avid explorer Alasdair Malloy leads the Hallé and its Assistant Conductor, Rory Macdonald on an adventure of enormous excitement featuring tiny beasts.
Come and join us for a journey through the undergrowth at the bottom of the garden, discovering those creepy crawlies we either love or loathe! Gaze in wonder at The Waltzing Cat as she dances at The Ugly Bug Ball, and watch The Flight of the Bumble Bee, but beware of The Wasps! See the grace and splendour of The Dragonfly, The Grasshopper's Dance and the Moths and Butterflies, but keep an eye out for the Tarantella for Tarantulas and Spiderman.
The programme also includes La Cucaracha, the Marchpast of the Kitchen Utensils, the Jasmine Flower and the Hansom Cab.
