Friday 27 and Saturday 28 June 2008 - The Hallé Taj Festival

As part of the Hallé's 150th anniversary celebrations, the Hallé is hosting a spectacular celebration of South Asian culture - the Taj Festival. This Festival will see the Hallé perform with world renowned performer Zakir Hussain and The Masters of Percussion, and the sarod virtuoso, Wajahat Khan and his trio.

There will be a dazzling array of events taking place including workshops, opportunities for schools, sari demonstrations, an exhibition of Indian instruments and dance in full costume. Food and drinks will be available prepared by Indian chefs.

The Festival takes place over two days and each day has a page dedicated to the events taking place - Friday 27 June and Saturday 28 June. As more details are confirmed, we will announce them here so keep visiting.
