The Hallé and Hallé Youth Orchestra join together, sitting desk by desk, under the direction of both their Music Directors. Sir Mark Elder, the Hallé's Music Director, will conduct an open rehearsal for half an hour which will be followed by a brief pause, before the vast ensemble returns to the stage to perform Richard Strauss's Salome's Dance and Respighi's The Pines of Rome.
Tickets cost £8.50 with a concessionary rate of £5.50. Anyone in full time education or under 5 is entitled to a ticket for just £2.50.
