FUNDRAISING AMBITION FOR OUR 150TH ANNIVERSARY
With a number of positions still available for support in the orchestra, Martin said 'It would be wonderful if, during the Hallé's 150th anniversary season, we could get every position in the orchestra endowed. I believe this would be the first time it will have happened in our long history and something we would all like to see'

The Chair endowment scheme provides a wonderful opportunity for supporters to create a real and unique association with both a player in the Orchestra and the organisation as a whole. It also provides the Hallé with valuable funds, which assist the Hallé in recruiting and retaining the most gifted musicians.

Hallé Chair Endowments start from Ł41.67 a month. For more details on how you can join the scheme please contact Martin on 0161 237 7011.

THE HALLÉ LIVE ON THE BIG SCREEN, MANCHESTER
The Big Screen will feature coverage from the acclaimed Hallé Roadshow, which took place in summer 2007. As part of the Hallé's Music Manifesto North West Pathfinder programme, the Hallé performed at Harrop Fold High School in Salford to pupils and staff, many of whom had never before heard a symphony orchestra. The Hallé Roadshow takes place each summer and travels to different areas within the Greater Manchester locale, giving children and young people a chance to hear a live symphony orchestra.

This coverage is being used to highlight the Hallé's astonishing acheivement - of reaching its 150th anniversary. For those people who have been lucky enough to get a ticket for this magnificient event, the Hallé's 150th Anniversary Concert takes place in The Bridgewater Hall on Wednesday 30 January 2008 at 7.30pm. For those who have not been able to get a ticket, we are delighted to announce that the concert will be relayed live onto the Big Screen in Manchester.
