Mahler Symphony No. 2 Resurrection

The Resurrection Symphony is a mighty musical experience quite unlike any other. When Kaplan, a music-lover from the world of finance, first heard Mahler’s Second Symphony his life was changed. He became obsessed. “One day it occurred to me that the best way I could get closer to the music, to try to understand why it has such an impact, was to conduct it.” Persuaded to share his rare insight into this work again and again all over the world, working from Mahler’s original handwritten score, he describes it as “a powerful emotional experience... there’s gloom but also great hope, happiness, yearning...”
