Welcome to the Hallé's 2006-2007 Family Concerts. The Hallé's Family Concerts are informal and interactive, fun and educational, with the opportunity for you, the audience, to join in. They have been created specifically with families in mind, so everyone is welcome, from great grandparents to tiny toddlers!
Lasting approximately two hours (including an interval), the Hallé's Family Concerts take place in Manchester's stunning Bridgewater Hall and begin at 3pm, with the Children's Workshops taking place in the morning. Each of the Family Concerts has its own theme, so why not come in fancy dress? (See the individual concert details later in this brochure for suggestions!)
Countdown to Christmas - Sunday 10 December 2006, 3pm Let's Face the Music and Dance - Sunday 18 March 2007, 3pm A Pirate's Life for Me - Sunday 13 May 2007, 3pm
Before you even enter the amazing auditorium for the concert itself, the foyers of the striking building will be filled with a host of entertainers. There are men on stilts, jugglers, magicians and face painters, to name but a few. You will also hear music performed by local music groups. Don't be afraid to explore the foyers and experience these fabulous adventures for yourselves.
The fun lasts all day when you join in the Hallé way! In the morning of each of the concerts there is an interactive children's workshop that finishes with a grand finale at 2pm, where the children present a short performance of the morning's work. These performances are free and open to everyone, so come along to the Barbirolli Room and listen to the results.
