The Hallé is delighted to announce that CMS LLP have joined the family of Hallé sponsors and will be supporting the Hallé’s performance and education work this Season.
The global solicitors firm has had a base in Manchester since 2014, with a focus on construction, corporate finance, energy, infrastructure, M&A and real estate. In 2017, the company underwent significant change through a merger between CMS, Nabarro and Olswang creating a firm with wide ranging expertise.
Sponsorship from CMS LLP will help bring to life one of the Hallé’s flagship Thursday Series concerts in spring 2019 along with Come and Play with the Hallé, one of the Halle’s signature education offerings. Part of the Whole Class Ensemble Teaching programme, Come and Play concerts provide an opportunity for primary school children to visit The Bridgewater Hall and perform alongside Hallé Orchestra members. Almost 20,000 young people take part in this project every year, and for many, it is their first visit to The Bridgewater Hall and first time experiencing a live orchestra.
Mark Haywood, CMS Head of Office in Manchester, said: ‘CMS is delighted to support The Hallé. The Hallé is a local and national institution, a world-renowned orchestra that proudly calls Manchester home. As an international law firm with a strong presence in this part of the world, this is a perfect alignment and we look forward to a long and mutually supportive relationship.’
On the new partnership, John Summers, Chief Executive of the Hallé, said: ‘We are thrilled that CMS LLP are joining the Hallé as sponsors this year. These are uncertain times in the arts, and throughout our 160-year history the Hallé has always had important relationships with the business community. We continue to be indebted to our family of corporate partners today, whose support to allow us to continue our work both on and off the stage.
‘On behalf of all at the Hallé, I would like to thank all at CMS LLP for their support and we look forward to working together over the coming Seasons.’
