Hallé Ancoats Community Choir
The Hallé Ancoats Community Choir began with an open rehearsal with just 8 people close to the Hallé’s Ancoats venue, Hallé at St Michael’s. Now more than 70 strong and continuing to expand, The Ancoats Community Choir meet for weekly rehearsals where everyone is welcome. The choir also perform at a variety of events in central Manchester and further afield, including the 2018 Community Choir Showcase in Llandudno, organised by Sing for Pleasure, and at the One Voice Manchester memorial event in Albert Square.

Peter Cunningham Concerts
Due to the current situation on Coronavirus, and in the light of Government’s advice given, the 6 April 2020 Peter Cunningham concert will be postponed until further notice.
The Peter Cunningham Memorial concerts are given throughout the year in Mellor Church or Mellor Parish Centre by members of the Hallé and friends. The concerts were established in 1993 and are in aid of the Peter Cunningham Memorial Fund, which supports the important community and outreach work of Hallé Education.
Last season’s concerts featured performances by the Pleyel Ensemble, Rossi Quartet, the popular Jazz Trio evening, and a composers’ evening with Sir Mark Elder.
