Please note: during the current refurbishment of Hallé St Peter’s, the gala tea dances may take place at alternative venues across Greater Manchester. Please check the venue carefully when booking tickets.
Hallé Education hosts occasional afternoon and evening Tea Dances throughout the year as part of its community programme. The dances are led by local ballroom and Latin dance expert, Darren Hulme, and are held in Hallé St Peter’s and Hallé at St Michael’s in the heart of Ancoats. The events feature sequence and ballroom dances as well as tutorials, with a delicious offering of refreshments. Dances take place throughout the year with details listed here and the What’s On [LINK] page.
Last season’s dance series finished in June, having had several extremely popular afternoon and evening events. These included occasional gala events where more than 50 enthusiastic dancers were welcomed with a glass of bubbly and then danced to music from the Hallé Tea Dance Band, led by Hallé Bass Clarinettist, Jim Muirhead.
If you would like to find out more about any of our projects and how to get involved, please contact the Education team on firstname.lastname@example.org
