Hallé Education music projects for Secondary aged pupils at KS3, GCSE and A-Level.

Projects on offer

  • Meet-a-Musician

      Recommended for Years 7-8
      Meet-a-Musician is a classroom-based workshop led by a Hallé musician based on a piece of music from the orchestral repertoire. This project can be combined with a visit to a Hallé concert where pupils will hear their workshop piece performed by the Hallé (additional costs involved).

  • GCSE Composition Workshop/Film Music Composition Workshop

      Recommended for GCSE (Max capacity =20)
      Composition Workshops are designed to supplement the exam board requirements and are tailored to your school. Sessions run for three hours led by the Hallé’s Education Director.

  • Solo Performance Workshops

      Recommended for GCSE/A-Level (Max capacity = 6 performers + audience)
      Performance Workshops are masterclass sessions with a Hallé musician, tailored specifically to your students’ requirements in order to develop their performance and musicianship skills.

  • Hallé Impresarios

      Recommended for Years 7-9 and GCSE (Max capacity = 40)
      Hallé Impresarios is a numeracy and business studies project, running over a whole day led by former Hallé Concerts Director and the Hallé Education Director.

  • Ensemble Coaching Session

      Recommended for all Secondary years
      Ensemble Coaching Sessions work with an existing school ensemble to enhance the quality of music-making. Sessions run for two hours and are led by a Hallé musician or musicians from the relevant orchestral family. Please contact us to discuss the requirements of your group.

    Prices per project start at £125 + VAT. Costs will vary depending on the project, number of players required, location and preparation requirements.
