Hallé Relaxed Concert
Following the success of our last relaxed concert, the Hallé is delighted to welcome back dementia families and their carers to the wonderful setting of St Peter’s.
This is an opportunity for you to experience some popular classical music in an informed and relaxed way. In other words, there are no rules!
The concert will be approximately 40-50 minutes with no interval. There will be short introductions from our players before each piece to give you some background context to the music. At the end of the performance, there will be an opportunity to ask any questions or have a chat with Hallé players.
Café Cotton will be open before, during and after the concert should you wish to purchase any refreshments. The Foyle Room (an extension of the Café) will also be available at all times, should you need to take a break during the performance.
Here are a few things you can expect when attending the concert:
- Doors will be kept open during the performance to allow audience members to enter/leave the room as they wish.
- Lighting will be kept on. There will be no special effects or flashing lights.
- Talking and movement is allowed.
- Clap and sing-along whenever you like!
