Everyone at the Hallé is extremely grateful for the support you’ve given us by purchasing tickets or subscriptions for our online Winter Season. Your support has helped ensure that the Hallé is able to continue to make music in these extraordinary and horrendous times.
Unfortunately, as the second wave of the corona virus tightens its grip and with new lockdown restrictions now in place, we will have to make some changes to our broadcast dates. At the moment there are no plans to change any of the programmes, with the exception of Henning Kraggerud’s concert. Details will be sent directly to bookers as soon as they are confirmed, alongside a revised broadcast date.
The safety and wellbeing of the Hallé’s players and staff are at the forefront of these decisions.
We are finalising these changes as we speak and will contact you again with revised broadcast dates.
However, we can now confirm that our next scheduled performance on Thursday 28 January (featuring Sibelius’s Third Symphony and Beethoven’s Third Piano Concerto) has been postponed and will now be released on Thursday 29 April.
The next concert in our series will now be broadcast on Thursday 11 February. This will now be our Movie Classics presentation (which has already been recorded).
Rest assured you will be kept fully up to date about subsequent alterations to the season, which we are striving to keep to an absolute minimum. New broadcast dates will appear on our website, but we will also be emailing you these revised broadcast dates. We hope you understand the reasons for these changes and remain hugely grateful for your continued support.
