Sing Schoenberg’s Gurrelieder
Experienced singers are required for Schoenberg’s Gurrelieder to join the combined forces of the award-winning Hallé Orchestra and Hallé Choir in a performance at the Bridgewater Hall on Sunday 4 June 2017.
If you can sight read well and love singing but haven’t got the time to do it all year round or are already busy singing with another choir, then this project could be for you.
Featuring an all-star vocal lineup, massive choral forces and the combined resources of the Hallé and the BBC Philharmonic, it promises to be an evening never to be forgotten.
Rehearsals, led by Matthew Hamilton, the Hallé’s Choral Director, begin in March 2017 at our wonderful rehearsal facility, Hallé St Peter’s, in Ancoats on Wednesday evenings. At rehearsals you will be put through your paces, working on expression, technique, musicality and performance, as well as the notes, in preparation for the concert. You can expect it to be intense, rewarding and fun.
There is a one-off charge of £50 (£20 concs) which is payable to the ‘Hallé Concerts Society’ by the first rehearsal. This contributes towards the costs of auditions, music hire and rehearsals.
If you are interested in joining us, please download and complete the application form below
