We are delighted you have chosen to be part our mass choir for Thank Hallé it’s Friday! and hope you thoroughly enjoy this experience. Your ticket includes access to the rehearsal aids including rehearsal tracks (available below), sheet music – given at the piano rehearsal, a piano rehearsal and an orchestral rehearsal as well as the performance.

Piano Rehearsal

Tuesday 9 July 2019
6.30pm – 9pm
At The Bridgewater Hall, auditorium
With Matthew Hamilton, Hallé Choral Director

Please come in through the main entrance of The Bridgewater Hall and have the name of the person who booked your tickets to hand. You will be greeted by a member of Hallé staff who will give you your sheet music. You will keep your music until after the concert on Friday.

We ask you to be ready in your seats for 6.30pm. The massed choir will be seated in the stalls – there will be Hallé staff and volunteers in the auditorium to show you where each voice part is sitting, and you can sit anywhere within this section. Please be aware you may end up in a different seat on the Friday, we cannot guarantee you the same seat.

There will be tea and coffee available to buy before the rehearsal and during the short break. We ask you to be back in your seat promptly for the start of the second half of the rehearsal.

6pm, running time approximately 1 hour
At The Bridgewater Hall, auditorium

  • Please come through the main entrance of The Bridgewater Hall. You will need the ticket you have purchased through the box office. If you have not been able to attend the piano rehearsal you will also be able to pick up your music
  • We ask that you are ready in your seats at 4pm for the warm up, followed by the orchestral rehearsal led by Stephen Bell, Associate Conductor, Hallé Pops
  • There will be a break before the concert begins at 6pm – we ask you to be seated by 5.55pm
  • At the end of the concert please return your music to a member of Hallé staff or in the boxes provided
  • After the concert there will be a celebration of Thank Hallé It;s Friday! in the Bridgewater Hall Foyer. There will be a jazz band and the opportunity to purchase drinks and light bites, extending the wonderful atmosphere created in the Concert Hall. We hope you might like to join us
