Benjamin Grosvenor, Piano
2015 was quite a year for Benjamin Grosvenor. His album Dance picked up the BBC Music Magazine Instrumental Award, and shortly after wowing the Last Night of the Proms, his Carnegie Hall debut persuaded the New York Times to hail the boy lord of the piano… Mr Grosvenor makes you sigh with joy. He joins a Hallé that, under Sir Mark Elder these past 16 years, has been enjoying a second golden age to rival the Barbirolli era.
