Noah Stewart, Tenor
This season our popular Hallé Christmas Concert has a touch of opera gala, courtesy of the acclaimed American tenor, Noah Stewart, whose versatile voice has taken him to the Royal Opera House, the John Wilson Orchestra and the top of the UK Classical Album Chart. Noah will be performing popular arias and sacred songs by Bizet, Tchaikovsky, Handel and Puccini, including the world’s favourite tenor aria, Nessun Dorma. There will be plenty of orchestral spectacle to enjoy, too, with excerpts from Tchaikovsky’s The Nutcracker and Prokofiev’s Lieutenant Kijé, and some festive fun from Vladimir Rebikov and Nigel Hess. As ever, you’ll also have the chance to join in with some seasonal favourites, courtesy of Martin and Blane’s hit song for Judy Garland and Mel Tormé’s chestnut-roasting Christmas classic.
