Welcome to the Hallé, Britain's longest-established permanent professional symphony orchestra, founded in Manchester by Sir Charles Hallé in 1858. The Hallé has been performing classical music in Manchester, around Britain and abroad for more than 150 years. The Hallé's Music Director is Sir Mark Elder CBE.
