Hallé Youth Training Choir
The Hallé Youth Training Choir, established in 2011, offers promising young singers aged 12-15 (academic years 8-11) a chance to develop their musicianship in a non-pressured training environment, allowing time for their voices to change naturally whilst still learning and rehearsing. Members study a selection of repertoire designed to support their musical and singing development throughout the year.
Recent appearances have included the Hallé’s Christmas Singalong concert and the Youth Ensembles concert, both in The Bridgewater Hall.
The Hallé Youth Training Choir is generously supported by the Angus Allnatt Charitable Foundation.
Hallé Youth Training Choir membership is for promising young singers aged 12 to 15 years (in school years 8 – 11) who want to learn more about music and singing.
Membership is free, however all members will be requested to make a voluntary donation to the Hallé as a contribution towards the core costs of maintaining the choir. Members are also expected to contribute towards the cost of residential courses and tours where appropriate.
Limited bursaries are available through an application process to help cover the costs of residential courses, tours and travel to rehearsals and concerts. The Hallé is grateful to the Oglesby Charitable Trust for the bursary fund.
We are now recruiting for the 2017-18 season. Details on how to apply are in the link below.
